Funk Bowling Brings Live Duckpin Bowling to IAAPA Expo Europe 2026

There’s a big difference between talking about bowling equipment and having two working duckpin lanes right there on the trade show floor.

That was one of our favorite parts of IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 in London. From September 22–24, we welcomed visitors to Booth S3543 to try our newest games, see Nexus on-lane projection in action, and spend some time talking bowling with the Funk team.

We caught up with customers we’ve known for years, met plenty of new faces, and heard about some interesting projects taking shape around the world. It was a great few days in London.

Two Duckpin Lanes Right on the Show Floor

Having two fully operational duckpin bowling lanes at our booth meant visitors could get a feel for the equipment themselves.

People could pick up a ball, try the new games, and watch the projected graphics respond as they played. It was especially fun to see people experiencing the on-lane projection firsthand, since it’s something that’s much easier to appreciate when you’re standing at the approach than when you’re looking at a brochure.

We also got to talk through how the setup could work in different spaces. Some visitors were interested in adding bowling to a new family entertainment center, while others were considering upgrades or new attractions for existing venues.

Being able to demonstrate the equipment while having those conversations made the whole experience more useful for everyone involved.

A Busy Week for the Attractions Industry

London was busy well beyond our booth. IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 welcomed 16,530 verified attendees, with buyers representing 118 countries and more than 870 exhibitors spread across the largest show floor in IAAPA Expo Europe history.

For us, one of the best parts of an event like this is getting to meet people working on such different projects.

We spoke with operators planning new entertainment venues, people looking at renovations, and others who were still figuring out what they wanted their spaces to become. Some conversations started with a specific equipment question. Others started with someone picking up a duckpin ball and giving it a try.

The week also marked another milestone for Funk. On September 22, we announced that Ron Wood was joining Funk as Vice President of International Sales and Strategic Partnerships. With more than 25 years of international experience in the bowling and capital equipment industries, Ron will help us build relationships and develop new opportunities in markets around the world.

And of course, it was good to see familiar faces again. Trade shows give us a chance to reconnect with customers and industry friends we don’t always get to see in person.

Thanks for a Great Week in London

We came away from IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 with plenty of conversations to follow up on and a lot of appreciation for everyone who spent time at our booth.

Whether you stopped by to try the duckpin lanes, ask about a project, or simply say hello, thank you. We enjoyed meeting you, hearing what you’re working on, and sharing a little of what we’ve been developing at Funk.

If you’d like to revisit anything you saw at the show, you can explore our digital brochures and product information or get in touch with the Funk team.

We hope to see you at the next one!
