This job was a unique duckpin buildout in Washington DC. Funk provides duckpin bowling as an option for businesses that don’t usually offer bowling to their patrons. Duckpin bowling lanes are similar to mini bowling, but they are shorter, narrower, and require less space. This makes it suitable for places like breweries, large bars and restaurants, and hotels, giving them an opportunity to stand out among their competitors. This project won “Best New Small Ball Center” in the Bowling Center Management’s (BCM) 2023 Bowling Center Architecture and Design Awards. The award acknowledged Funk Bowling’s expertise in designing and installing a state-of-the-art “small ball” bowling center in a small space.
