In fact, the owners say that their great grandparents skated there many years ago. Today, after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcpo.com\/news\/region-northern-kentucky\/maysville-roller-rink-owner-hoping-to-rebuild-after-fire-destroys-building?_amp=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">devastating fire completely destroyed the building<\/a> back in February 2022, the owners are in the process of rebuilding the family business which has been a part of the community for generations.<\/p>\n\n<p>The owners, Mathew and Megan Davenport are designing a new and improved version of the long-standing business. In addition to the roller-skating component, the owners have signed an agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.funkbowling.com\/\">Funk Bowling North America<\/a> to install 10 lanes of bowling to the newly renovated location.<\/p>\n\n<p>The owners met with Funk Bowling at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaapa.org\/expos\/iaapa-expo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IAAPA Expo in Orlando, FL<\/a> in November 2022. IAAPA is The Global Association for the Attractions Industry and the IAAPA Expo event is one of the largest events in the world for the entertainment and attractions industry. Shortly after the meeting, the owners signed an agreement to bring 10 lanes of bowling to their location.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201eWe are so pleased to be partnering with Funk Bowling, bringing yet another entertainment element to Maysville. We believe Funk\u2019s string pinsetter bowling will complement our already popular skating rink, as well as allow for an additional form of entertainment for our local community to enjoy. Funk\u2019s string pinsetter is one of the world\u2019s most used string pinsetter globally. The company estimates that their clients save roughly 90% on maintenance and machine services with their string pinsetters vs. the traditional free-fall pinsetter. In addition, maintaining the machines don\u2019t require an expert technician and this maintenance can mostly be handled in-house.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201eWe are honored to be part of this project as Mathew rebuilds his business and continues his family legacy. From the beginning, we made a connection with the Davenport Family, and we wanted to be a part of his rebuilding. Along every step in the process, Mathew would talk about doing this for the community, the community needs this.
