Das moderne Bowling entstand im Mittelalter und verbreitete sich in dieser Zeit in ganz Westeuropa. Der Grund f\u00fcr die Entstehung des Bowlings war ein Verbot des 9-Pin-Bowlings in Connecticut im Jahr 1837. <\/p>\n
Das Spiel auf 9-Pin-Bowlingbahnen wurde verboten, weil h\u00e4ufig Geld eingesetzt wurde und Betrug stattfand. Um das Verbot zu umgehen, wurde ein zehnter Pin zu den neun Pins hinzugef\u00fcgt, sie wurden in einem Dreieck statt in einem Quadrat aufgestellt, sie wurden „Pins“ genannt und das neue Spiel wurde „Bowling“ genannt.
